R&D Projects Completion Fortified ICs for Extreme Conditions(1981-1985) Silicon IC devices (MOS type and bipolar type) and compound semiconductor IC devices (resistance to radiation and heat) have been developed. They ensure stable operation under severe environments (resistance to radiation: 108 rad; resistance to heat: 225'C; resistance to vibration:40G; resistance to Impact: 5,000G). Typical applications are in space craft, nuclear reactors, or moving objects such as aircraft. |
