R&D Association for Future Electron Devices

FED Salon

For 10 nm CMOS

Program director : Toshiro Hiramoto ( University of Tokyo)

The talks were triggered by discussions in advanced areas that could lead to breakthroughs, discussions on the significance of application-oriented research, and discussions on the implantable computer, Bluetooth, and basic technology for a future IT society. These topics are ahead of the goals of the technology set by ASUKA , MIRAI Project.

Semiconductor Project
Implantable Computer

Discussions focused on advanced technologies that could meet user needs; paradigm shift to the system LSI age; mechanisms of IT advanced research and development in consideration of application and marketing; new semiconductor R&D systems corresponding to these mechanisms; and possible cooperation with technologies in different areas.
