R&D Association for Future Electron Devices |
FED Salon For 10 nm CMOS Program director : Toshiro Hiramoto ( University of Tokyo) The talks were triggered by discussions in advanced areas that could lead to breakthroughs, discussions on the significance of application-oriented research, and discussions on the implantable computer, Bluetooth, and basic technology for a future IT society. These topics are ahead of the goals of the technology set by ASUKA , MIRAI Project.
Discussions focused on advanced technologies that could meet user needs; paradigm shift to the system LSI age; mechanisms of IT advanced research and development in consideration of application and marketing; new semiconductor R&D systems corresponding to these mechanisms; and possible cooperation with technologies in different areas. Discussion,2001-2002 1st:"Basic Technology of 10 nm CMOS" 2nd:"What Comes After the Wearable
Computer?" 3rd: "IT Advanced R&D Seen from
User Needs" 4th: "How to Promote Semiconductor
R&D" 5th: "Challenging Sub-10 nm CMOS
